Juniors Elise Morris and Grace Burchett split sets at second doubles Wednesday but won the tie-breaker 10-8 to give Providence their final point in a 4-1 win over host Plainfield Central. At third doubles, seniors Lizzie Eggen and Angela Jensen won easily 6-1, 6-1; seniors Maggie and Kelly Ruane (1st doubles) won 6-0, 6-1; and sophomore Hannah Davis (1st singles) cruised to a 6-0, 6-1 victory.
The team will travel to Mundelein on Thursday afternoon to compete against Carmel, one of the best teams in the East Suburban Catholic Conference.
