New Lenox Area Coronavirus Cases Increased By 25 Over Past Week

NEW LENOX, IL — The number of New Lenox's coronavirus cases increased by 25 over the past week, according to data from the Will County Health Department. New Lenox (ZIP code 60451) has a total of 183 cases as of July 13, compared to 158 cases on July 6, which represents a 15.8 percent increase in the past week and the largest weekly increase in over a month.

Health authorities do not provide the number of deaths, hospitalizations or recoveries by municipality.

Here is the growth in the coronavirus case numbers for the past month in New Lenox. The data comes from the Will County Health Department and the number of cases reported in ZIP code 60451.

IDPH is also reporting a total of 2,936 tests have been performed for ZIP code 60451.

In nearby towns in the Lincoln-Way area, both Mokena (ZIP code 60448) and Frankfort (ZIP code 60423) have more cases, with 186 and 208 cases, respectively, as of July 13. Manhattan (ZIP code 60442) has 56 cases, according to data from the county health department.

As of Monday, Illinois' coronavirus case count was 154,799 and the coronavirus has claimed the lives of 7,193 Illinois residents. In Will County, there are 7,374 cases of the coronavirus and 326 related deaths.
