New Lenox Cops Care Food Drive Collects Over 6k Donations

The food pantry is available at the township offices for New Lenox residents who are in need of food supplies.

NEW LENOX, IL — New Lenox Police Department and Chief Bob Sterba recently thanked the community, District 122 and the New Lenox Township Food Pantry for a successful Cops Care Food Drive. The department said this year's drive brought in nearly 6,400 non-perishable food items.

The top donating class of each District 122 school will receive a pizza party courtesy of the police department.

The food pantry is available at the township offices for New Lenox residents who are in need of food supplies. Proof of residency is required, the department said. The food pantry is open Monday through Friday from 9:30 to 11:30 a.m. and 1:30 to 3:30 p.m.
