New Lenox Heroin Suspect Makes Bail

Jamie Dominski was picked up by Will County authorities on Jan. 16.

NEW LENOX, IL - A 41-year-old man from New Lenox who allegedly was caught with heroin is no longer in custody, Will County's jail logs show. Jamie Dominski, who lives in the 200 block of Circlegate Road, was released from the county jail facility around noon on Monday. He had been staying in Will County since his felony arrest on Jan. 16. A criminal complaint at the Will County Courthouse indicates Dominski was taken away in handcuffs by the Will County Sheriff's Department on a felony offense of unlawful possession of a controlled substance.

Additionally, Dominski also faces a misdemeanor charge of driving on a suspended vehicle, other court records show. As for the drug charge, the New Lenox man "knowingly and unlawfully possessed a substance containing heroin, a controlled substance ... on or about January 16, 2018," the complaint states.

Dominski had been incarcerated on a $25,000 bond, meaning he needed to come up with 10 percent to bail himself out of custody while his criminal charge is pending at the courthouse.
