New Lenox Fire Department Receives Grant From Local Business

Dryer Vent Wizard franchisees across the country had the opportunity to nominate local fire departments for a grant.

NEW LENOX, IL — The New Lenox Fire Protection District recently received a $500 grant from Dryer Vent Wizard of Will County. According to a release, the grant was for the district's outstanding work toward fire safety and public awareness about the dangers of fires.

During the months of October and November, Dryer Vent Wizard franchisees across the country had the opportunity to nominate local fire departments for community fire prevention programs and services. This year, four grants of $500 were awarded, according to a release.

“We are thrilled to present this grant to the New Lenox Fire Protection District for all the work they do to provide community outreach and educate our residents about fire safety and prevention,” Joe Enzenberger, owner of Dryer Vent Wizard of Will County, said in a release. “As an organization dedicated to the safety of our local community, we’re proud to award this grant to further residents’ awareness toward fire safety.”

According to a release, the fire department will use the grant to provide supplies for the department’s CPR classes, babysitting academy supplies like first aid kits, and general education supplies such as children’s safety activity books.
