New Lenox Metra Train Station Construction Update - March 19

The contractor has begun utility relocation within the new building area. Parking is this construction area is prohibited.

Access to the east end of the train platform is restricted, pedestrians will need to access the platform near the temporary METRA ticket office. This area will be under construction until approximately November of 2020. Pedestrians will be able to walk along the south side of the construction area via a pedestrian walkway protected from traffic by a barrier wall. Additionally, the parking pay stations has been moved to an area near temporary METRA ticket trailer.

The east parking lot will close on Monday March 23, 2020 to install new electric conduit and light pole foundations. This area will be closed for approximately three (3) weeks to complete this work. Once this work is completed the lot be re-opened.
