New Lenox Offers 2021-2023 Hometown Hero Banner Program

NEW LENOX, IL — Mayor Tim Baldermann and the New Lenox Village Board are offering the Hometown Hero Banner program for 2021-2023. According to the village Facebook page, the Hometown Heroes program is a military banner program which honors and recognizes local service members.

You can get an application online. Applications will be accepted until March 31 or until spots are full.

The banners are displayed in and around the Village Commons from Memorial Day through approximately Veterans Day. First preference goes to applicants who are current or former residents of New Lenox or members of the New Lenox VFW Post 9545 or American Legion Post 1977, according to the village website.
