New Lenox Officers Punched, Kicked By Nicolette Lahvic: Police
Nicolette Lahvic's boyfriend called police after she refused to leave his place in New Lenox.

The Will County Adult Detention Facility is a sobering place to stay as a 20-year-old Frankfort woman who is accused of tussling with the New Lenox Police Department is finding out. Nicolette Lahvic, who lives in the 20000 block of South Graceland Lane, remains in the Will County jail facing a felony charge of aggravated battery causing harm to a police officer.
On Monday, New Lenox Deputy Chief of Police Louis Alessandrini told Patch village police officers were called around 2:30 a.m. Saturday to a domestic dispute in the 600 block of Downing Street. The ordeal involved yelling and screaming. No punches were thrown involving the couple. Once New Lenox squad cars pulled up to the house, a 21-year-old man who lived there explained that he wanted his girlfriend, identified as Lahvic, to leave.
A pair of New Lenox officers told Lahvic she needed to leave. But she wasn't budging, according to police. "It appeared she was intoxicated," Alessandrini said. Next, "she kicked an officer in the head. At that point, there was a battery to a police officer."

Then Lahvic became more ornery, according to New Lenox authorities. She is also accused of punching and head-butting a second officer during the fracas. Eventually, the two officers got her handcuffed and hauled her off to the Will County Adult Detention Facility. She remained in custody as of Monday afternoon, still awaiting to go before a judge for a bond hearing.
Fortunately, nobody was seriously injured during the incident, Alessandrini said.
