New Lenox Man Charged in Smoothie Cafe Armed Robbery
A 31-year-old New Lenox man has been charged with aggravated robbery.

New Lenox police have arrested a man believed responsible for the April 14 armed robbery of Tropical Smoothie in New Lenox.
Kellen Bean, 31, of the 900 block of Chelsea Ct. in New Lenox was arrested and charged April 21 with aggravated robbery after police recovered evidence related to the robbery from his home.

Bean was taken into custody at Silver Cross Hospital, where he was seeking medical assistance for a minor issue, according to a release issued by police.
Bean was transported to the Will County Adult Detention Facility pending a bond hearing.
