Around 1 a.m. Sunday, Amanda Alaimo of Joliet ran afoul of the law in New Lenox.

NEW LENOX, IL - Last month, Patch brought you an exclusive story about Amanda J. Alaimo, a 28-year-old Joliet woman who retained a reputable Joliet law firm to sue the Shorewood Portillo's Hot Dogs for thousands of dollars. Her lawsuit contends that her restaurant chair collapsed on April 12. "Amanda Alaimo suffered diverse injuries, both internally and externally, of a permanent and lasting nature," her lawyers informed the Will County court.
Then, early Sunday morning, Alaimo had an encounter with the New Lenox Police Department at 1:02 a.m. at the intersection of Joliet Highway and Nelson Road, police reports indicate.
According to reports, Alaimo, who lives in the 900 block of Manor Court, was busted for driving without a valid license as well as operating an uninsured vehicle. According to the New Lenox police report of the incident, "The officer was running radar and observed a vehicle speeding. The officer conducted a traffic stop on the vehicle and learned that the driver, Alaimo, did not have a valid driver’s license or proof of insurance. The officer also learned that the license plates did not belong on the vehicle."
