New Lenox Reveals New Fireworks Date
New Lenox was one of many Will County communities that had its 4th of July fireworks rained out.

NEW LENOX, IL - Rain on the Fourth of July and rain on July 5 put a damper on the village of New Lenox's annual 4th of July fireworks extravaganza. But the show will go on, several weeks from now. On Wednesday, the village issued the following announcement: "We are excited to share that the Fourth of July fireworks display has been rescheduled for August 31 as part of our Fridays After Five event. We thank you for your patience throughout this process and look forward to providing an outstanding fireworks show to kick off Labor Day weekend."
The fireworks show will begin around 8:30 p.m. However, the event will begin around 5:30 with live music and food trucks. Everything is at the Village Commons.
