New Lenox Village Board To Discuss Recreational Marijuana
The village board will discuss recreational marijuana at the committee of the whole meeting on Monday, Sept. 16 at 7 p.m.
NEW LENOX, IL — The New Lenox village board will discuss the allowance of recreational marijuana in town at the committee of the whole meeting on Monday, Sept. 16 at 7 p.m.
"We always like to hear from our residents, so certainly they're always welcome to communicate with us...or come to the board meeting, if they'd like," Mayor Tim Baldermann said at the Sept. 9 village board meeting.
Baldermann said the village was approached by someone looking to secure a recreational license in the area, not necessarily New Lenox. That person will come in and address the board on "why they think it's a good idea," Baldermann said.
