NEW LENOX, IL - In late July, more than 30,000 people from the Lincoln-Way area will be gathering in New Lenox for a fun-filled festival that continues to grow. The 2018 Proud American Days takes place July 26-July 29. Some of its most popular activities include the annual baby contest, military tribute and bean bag tournament. The annual carnival takes place at 601 East Lincoln Highway, near the Walmart.
"What began as a simple, two-man band under a tent playing music with a keg of beer has become one of the largest and best-attended festival in the Lincoln-Way area. With its popularity, additional days, contests, activities and carnival rides were added, as well as the addition of various food vendors from local restaurants and organizations," the festival's website proclaims. "The Proud American Days festival continues to truly be a community event that spotlights the Town of New Lenox as truly the Home of Proud Americans."
