NL VFW Post 9545 hosting 2nd Annual Warriors Walk September 11th

NL VFW Post 9545 is once again sponsoring the Warriors Walk for Suicide Awareness and Prevention.

Our Inaugural walk in 2020 raised $15,000.00 for Suicide Awareness for Operation Headstrong, and we are trying to surpass that amount with a goal of $20,000.00 this year. With your help, we can do it! This is a very important need to help assist Veterans and stem the tide of an average of 22 Veterans committing suicide daily.

I know that we look for marchers to do 10- And 20-mile hikes, but NO WALK IS TOO SHORT! NO PACK IS NEEDED. NO DONATION IS TOO SMALL! You can also participate by stepping off and just walking around the Village Commons, or just be there to cheer on the Walkers.

Covid restrictions that are in place on that day will be followed.

DAY OF: Saturday, September 11th.

The march shall take place, rain or shine, at the New Lenox IL commons. The route will go along Old Plank Road Trail, which is a walk, run, bike path. Please be respectful to others on the path.
A signup sheet will be available for you to sign in.
Refreshment stations shall be posted along the designated path.
PARKING is in the works.

No fee to participate.
