Pallets Stolen From Berkot's: Cops
A fight at White Horse Inn and two retail thefts from Walmart are among the latest New Lenox police reports.

The following information is from the New Lenox Police Department. An arrest is not an indication of guilt.
Deceptive Practice
An officer was dispatched on a complaint of a deceptive practice at 1:30 p.m. April 28 in the 500 block of E. Lincoln Highway. The complainant advised that they were purchasing a vehicle from a private seller on Craigslist when they discovered the transaction was a scam.

An officer was dispatched to the 200 block of Wood Street in reference to a complaint of a deceptive practice at 5:30 p.m. on April 30. The complainant advised that they were purchasing a vehicle from a private seller on OODLE.com when they discovered the transaction was a scam.
Theft

An officer was dispatched to Berkot’s in the 2100 block of Calistoga Drive at 9:29 p.m. on April 28 in reference to a complaint of a theft. The complainant advised that an unknown offender(s) stole wooden pallets from the rear of the store.
An officer was dispatched to Patterson Dental Group in the 2000 block of E. Laraway Road in reference to a complaint of a theft at 1:08 p.m. on May 1. The complainant advised that an unknown offender(s) stole pieces of the HVAC Unit from the roof of the business.
Retail Theft
Angelos A. Star, 20, of the 1000 block of E. Lincoln highway was charged with retail theft at 2:46 p.m. on April 30 at Walmart in the 500 block of E. Lincoln Highway. Upon arrival, the complainant told police that Star stole cosmetics products from the store.
An officer was dispatched to Walmart in reference to a complaint of a retail theft at 9:40 p.m. on May 1. The complainant advised that the unknown offenders stole several bottles of alcohol from the store.
Battery
An officer was dispatched to White Horse Inn at 12:08 a.m. on May 1 in reference to a complaint of a fight in progress. The complainant advised that the offender struck him in the head and fled.
