Park District Playgrounds Open In New Lenox

NEW LENOX, IL — Playgrounds are now open, the New Lenox Community Park District shared on its Facebook. The playground equipment is not cleaned, and the user assumes risk, the park district said.

Social distancing should still be practiced, and users should remember to wash their hands or use hand sanitizer. Select programming at the park district has resumed in June, and basketball courts, tennis courts and the skate parks are also open.

The park district said the Splash Pads still remain closed as it waits for direction from the Illinois Department of Public Health.
