School leaders have installed offensive coordinator Adam Nissen as interim head coach for the rest of 2026, emphasizing stability for student-athletes while Plantz publicly questions the decision and highlights his deep ties to the school and community.
   

• 'You're Dead,' Man Threatened Police, Patrons With Golf Club Outside Gaming Café: New Lenox PD (patch.com) — Police in New Lenox arrested a 48-year-old Arizona man after he allegedly threatened patrons with a golf club outside the Zin Club gaming café on East Joliet Highway. Officers say he repeatedly tried to re-enter the business, made physical contact with an officer, shouted death threats, and resisted efforts to handcuff him before being charged with obstructing and resisting a peace officer.
