New Lenox Woman Loses Nearly $3,000 To Scammer Posing As Bank Rep: Police Reports (patch.com) — A New Lenox resident was tricked out of nearly $3,000 by a scammer pretending to be from her bank, according to local police. The caller used FaceTime and directed the victim to move money, withdraw cash, and load it onto Chime cards before she realized it was a fraud. New Lenox police are highlighting the incident as a warning to residents about similar scams.

Homer Glen Man, 43, Spat And Threw Drink At Police: New Lenox Police (patch.com) — New Lenox police arrested a 43-year-old Homer Glen man at the New Lenox Public Library on a warrant tied to an earlier disturbance at the Subway on West Maple Street. Officers say he previously threw a drink, resisted arrest, and spat on an officer before being taken to Silver Cross Hospital and later to the Will County Adult Detention Facility. The man has a history of prior arrests in New Lenox this month.
   

3. Will County renews Flock camera agreements despite some dissent (chicagotribune.com) — Will County has renewed agreements allowing Flock license plate cameras in multiple towns, with officials noting the technology has already helped solve crimes in New Lenox and nearby communities.
