A groundbreaking for the new store at U.S. 30 and Cedar Road is still on track to occur soon.

NEW LENOX, IL - The CVS planned at U.S. 30 and Cedar Road - the third one to open in New Lenox - remains on track for a groundbreaking during the first half of this year even as the pharmacy’s parent company CVS Health announced a plan to close about 70 locations last month.
The Daily Southtown reported the plans for CVS to anchor the new development at the area are still in the works for an April development plan approval and a groundbreaking soon after.
“All systems are go,” said New Lenox Mayor Tim Baldermann, who noted that the village immediately confirmed that once hearing CVS’ closure plan involved 11 stores in the city of Chicago.
