25 My soul clings to the dust;
revive me according to your word.
26 When I told of my ways, you answered me;
teach me your statutes.
27 Make me understand the way of your precepts,
and I will meditate on your wondrous works. ~ Psalm 119:25-27
After the rains of this past weekend, the greenery in the stream bed alongside of the church has become a jungle of tall plants and trees popping into fullness with their new leaves. I stand in awe at how quickly God's plants can change from slight signs of spring to full blossom in a matter of just a few days time. The waters quietly meander through the stream bed and on down the hill, while small wildlife show their heads now and again while running through the new plant life or flitting from branch to branch among the trees.

Meditating on God's Word, just as we meditate on His creation, we can also become awestruck by the history of His creation from the very beginning of time. God has had a purpose throughout all eternity for everything He has created - including us. He reveals His love throughout His written Word for us to find and share with others.
We have only to take the time to commune with God for Him to teach us of all of His wondrous works that He has done to show His unending love and yearning for us to have a close relationship with Him. From the time of Adam and Eve, God shows us how much He loves us all by eventually having His only begotten Son become the ultimate sacrifice to reconcile us to Him. This amazing sacrifice allows our relationship with Him to blossom into an eternal life with Him one day. God's word shows the wondrous works of His hands - all done in love for us.

Prayer
Lord,
Looking around us, we see the handiwork of all Your creation and the beauty that it gives this earth. Help us to also find the handiwork and beauty within Your Holy Word as we read and meditate on it. Reveal to us just exactly what You want us to learn and apply to our lives so that we shine Your light for everyone to see. Amen.
