Silver Cross Foundation & City of Lockport to Host Fundraiser
The beer-tasting fundraiser will be at Tangled Roots Brewing Company Thursday, Sept. 16 from 5 to 9 p.m.

The City of Lockport has partnered with the Silver Cross Foundation and Tangled Roots Brewing Company to host a Beer Tasting Fundraiser on Thursday, Sept. 16 from 5 to 9 pm. The event, co-chaired by Ben Benson, Lockport City Administrator, and Wendy Streit, First Lady of Lockport, will take place at Lock-N-Mule restaurant in downtown historic Lockport and benefit Silver Cross Hospital.
“This last year has been one of the most challenging for our community, our country, and the world,” said Benson, who proudly serves as a member of the Silver Cross Foundation Board of Directors. “Yet it is our local hospitals that have been there for us during our time of need. We cannot think of a better way to thank all the healthcare heroes than by holding a fundraiser to support patient care at nearby Silver Cross Hospital.”
Tickets are $50 and include four distinct craft beers, two additional drink tickets, savory starters and sweets prepared by Lock-N-Mule and Cakes XO. Participants can choose from three tasting times: 5:15, 6:15 and 7:15 pm with a Tangled Roots Brew Master; seating is limited. A silent auction will take place throughout the night for exclusive items including vintage gold and silver jewelry, autographed Anthony Rizzo bat and Chicago Cubs memorabilia, autographed Boston and Joan Jett & the Blackhawks concert poster, TCBY Ice Cream Truck Party and much more.
