• Lincoln-Way East students withdraw amid racist harassment case (audacy.com) — In New Lenox, six Lincoln-Way East High School students accused of racist harassment at a football game have withdrawn rather than face expulsion, forfeiting all district privileges. The school board accepted their withdrawals, while parents and advocates questioned accountability, and the Illinois High School Association continues a related investigation under its hate speech and harassment policy.
   

• More Trouble At St. Joe's Hospital As Patient Attacks Female Employee, Second Worker Intervenes: JPD (patch.com) — A 64-year-old New Lenox man is accused of attacking two staff members late Wednesday night at Ascension Saint Joseph Medical Center in Joliet, allegedly grabbing a woman's wrist, pushing her against a wall, and threatening another employee. After being discharged, he was arrested by Joliet police, charged with aggravated battery and aggravated assault, and released on a notice to appear in court.
