The school board accepted their withdrawals, while parents and advocates questioned accountability, and the Illinois High School Association continues a related investigation under its hate speech and harassment policy.

• More Trouble At St. Joe's Hospital As Patient Attacks Female Employee, Second Worker Intervenes: JPD (patch.com) — A 64-year-old New Lenox man is accused of attacking two staff members late Wednesday night at Ascension Saint Joseph Medical Center in Joliet, allegedly grabbing a woman's wrist, pushing her against a wall, and threatening another employee. After being discharged, he was arrested by Joliet police, charged with aggravated battery and aggravated assault, and released on a notice to appear in court.
