Speeding Driver Had 300 Grams of Pot: Cops

NEW LENOX, IL - A speeding driver was found with more than 300 grams of cannabis in New Lenox on Tuesday, police said.

Bruno R. Andrews, 30, of Joliet was charged with several offenses after he was stopped at 4:38 p.m. on March 7 near Nelson Road and Chase Trail. He faces charges of speeding, driving while license suspended, operating uninsured motor vehicle, possession of cannabis and possession of drug equipment.

Police said that after finding out that Andrews had a suspended driver's license and was operating an uninsured vehicle they found more than 300 grams of cannabis and drug equipment in the car.
