Splash Pads Open In New Lenox

NEW LENOX, IL — In addition to opening its playground equipment, the New Lenox Community Park District will also open its two splash pads at Hibernia Park and Walker Country Estates Park on Tuesday.

Each location has a capacity of 50 people, and face coverings are required when not engaged in water activities, the park district shared on Facebook. Temperature checks will also be required upon entry.

According to the park district website, it is $3 per resident to enter the splash pads; ages 2 and under and ages 21 and over are free. The splash pads are open 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. every day. Both splash pads will be closed on July 4.
