Theft, DUI: New Lenox Police Reports

The following information is from the New Lenox Police Department. An arrest is not an indication of guilt.

May 20

• Francisco Quezada-Mercado, 26, of Joliet, was arrested at 1:26 a.m. at Lincoln Highway and Vine Street and charged with expired registration, driving while license suspended and no proof of valid insurance.
• Michael Henning, 20, of Manhattan, was arrested at 7:32 a.m. at Illinois Highway and Lake Street and charged with driving while license suspended.
• Someone stole video game controllers valued at $150 from Target, 2370 E. Lincoln Highway.
• Brandon Kranz, 27, of Minooka, was arrested at 9:06 p.m. in the 300 block of West Lincoln Highway and charged with DUI-alcohol.

May 21

• Victim reported someone stole their cellphone from the side of the basketball court at LA Fitness, 2431 E. Lincoln Highway. Officers learned two other people also had their phones stole while they played basketball.
• Anna Triggs, 31, of the 100 block of First Avenue, was arrested at 8:25 p.m. at Haven Avenue and Wildwood Drive and charged with driving while license suspended and operating an uninsured vehicle.

May 22

• Someone stole a wallet from a bag on the side of the basketball court at LA Fitness, 2431 E. Lincoln Highway.
• Ashley Coen, 21, of Mokena, was arrested at 4:20 p.m. at Western Avenue and Illinois Highway and charged with possession of controlled substraction (prescription medication which was not hers).

May 23

• Someone stole a wallet, watch and cellphone out of a locked locker at LA Fitness, 2431 E. Lincoln Highway.

May 24

• Someone broke the rear window and tail light of a vehicle parked in the 2300 block of East Joliet Highway.
• Someone threw a brick through a car window parked in the 1600 block of Carlton Court.
• Eric Carpenter, 24, of Joliet, was arrested at 8:25 a.m. at Francis Road and Silver Cross Boulevard and charged with speeding and driving while license revoked.
• Someone broke a window on a display case, overturned garbage cans and bent several sign at the Metra South train station.

May 25

• Anna Elliot, 46, of Orland Hills, was arrested at 10:25 a.m. at Nelson and Spencer roads and charged with speeding, driving while license suspended, no proof of insurance and operating a vehicle with suspended registration.

May 27

• Edward Kosteck, 29, of the 800 block of South Prairie, was arrested at 8:51 p.m. at Cedar Road and Fourth Avenue and charged with driving while license suspended and illegal operation of cellphone device.
