Three Employees Arrested After Compliance Checks In New Lenox

Three employees at three different businesses have been charged with unlawful delivery of alcoholic liquor to a minor, police said.

NEW LENOX, IL — Three employees at three different New Lenox businesses have been charged with unlawful delivery of alcoholic liquor to a minor, police said. Illinois State Police zone 3 agents conducted alcohol countermeasure enforcement surveillance at 24 New Lenox businesses Sept. 25.

Police said the purpose of this surveillance is to determine which businesses may be selling alcoholic beverages to minors. Out of 24 businesses surveilled in New Lenox, three establishments were involved in the sale of an alcoholic beverage to a minor.

Those arrested were: Berkot's Super Foods employee Alina Alfarro-Carranza, 22, of New Lenox; United Liquors employee Lucia Ignaszak, 53, of New Lenox; and Bulldog Ale House employee Michelle Chlebowski, 26, of New Lenox. All three were released on a notice to appear in court.
