Two Men Found In Possession Of 24 Pounds Of Cannabis: Cops

Two men from California were arrested in New Lenox and charged with cannabis trafficking, police said.

NEW LENOX, IL — Two men from California have been charged after they were arrested in New Lenox in possession of 24 pounds of cannabis, police said. Michael Lopez, 24, and Gabrielle Malaki, 26, were charged with manufacture/delivery of cannabis and cannabis trafficking after their arrest on I-80 near I-55 Monday.

New Lenox Police, with the assistance of the Department of Homeland Security and the Will County Sheriff's Office, made the arrest. Police said Lopez and Ryan were taken to the Will County Adult Detention Facility where they will be held before their bond hearing Tuesday.
