Vandalism At Parks, DUI: New Lenox Police Reports

The following information is from the New Lenox Police Department. An arrest is not an indication of guilt.

March 25

  • Katrice Jones, 32, of Palatine, was arrested at 11:14 p.m. at Lincoln Highway and Nelson Road and charged with driving while license suspended and operating uninsured motor vehicle.
  • Obscenities were written on several pieces of playground equipment at Haines School. The vandalism was cleaned up.
  • Dalia Vega, 36, of Joliet, was arrested at 11:14 p.m. in the 1300 block of West Lincoln Highway and charged with two counts of battery after fighting with two woman at the movie theater.

  • Someone spray painted graffiti on playground equipment at Freedom Park.
  • Two juveniles were charged with vandalism at 2:08 p.m. after spray painting a sign at Arrow Haven Park. Vandalism was also found on Old Plank Trail. The juveniles were turned over to their parents.

March 28

  • JeChyre Jones, 19, of Joliet, was arrested at 8:44 a.m. in the 100 block of East Lincoln Highway and charged with driving while license suspended and illegal use of cell phone.
  • A window was broken on a car parked in the 2100 block of Foxwood Drive.
  • Someone spray painted graffiti on a sign and on the playground equipment at Freedom Park.
  • Solar lights were stolen from a yard in the 900 block of Meadow Ridge Lane. Lights were valued at $180.

  • Carl Williamson Jr., 33, of Joliet, was arrested at 9:08 a.m. at Cedar and Laraway roads and charged with driving while license revoked, hit and run, and operating an uninsured motor vehicle.

March 30

  • Oscar Ramirez, 33, of Joliet, was arrested at 2:09 a.m. in the 300 block of West Lincoln Highway and charged with DUI-alcohol.
  • Adam Talley, 26, of Hazel Crest, was charged with driving while license suspended, expired registration and operating an uninsured motor vehicle at Ellis and Gougar roads.
  • Several traffic signs had graffiti spray painted on them near Haven and Nelson.

March 31

  • Tierra Boston, 26, of Joliet, was arrested at 10:15 a.m. at Pine Street and Illinois Highway for driving while license suspended and speeding.
