Vandalism Reported At Walona Park

NEW LENOX, IL -- Quite a bit of damage was found at a park in New Lenox when police arrived one morning last week.

Police responded to Walona Park in reference to a vandalism complaint at 10:25 a.m. on June 28, according to a police report. Someone told an officer that garbage cans and port-a-potties were turned over at the Walona ball fields before they arrived that morning.

The case is now "under review by investigations for assignment or closure," according to the report.
