The village received three bids and decided on JM Construction Company in Broadview. The cost of $14,000 was the lowest of the three bids.
Rigsby was given one year to take down all the lumber yard buildings, but that clock ran out in May. The Hickory Creek there, however, has been subject to terrible flooding over the years and the village first conducted studies to ensure that it doesn’t get worse when the buildings are down.
