The Village of New Lenox has restored its veterans memorial to pristine condition, after vandals damaged it last year.

Residents rallied to raise the funds to repair the memorial, raising $55,000. These funds enabled complete restoration of the monuments and permitted an additional expansion to be constructed to honor the Fallen Soldiers and Purple Heart Veterans.
