Will County Sheriff Now Accepting Applications for Deputy

The Will County Sheriff’s Merit Commission is now accepting applications for deputy sheriff, now through April 20.

The commission will accept up to 250 applications for the May 14 testing date. Application period will be closed early, if the limit is reached prior to that date.

Starting salary for the position is $55,156.43 with benefits and uniforms. All applicants must pay the $25 processing fee (checks only accepted), to be mailed with the application to the Will County Merit Commission, before the deadline.

Applications must be downloaded from the Sheriff’s website. Or you may pick up an application from the Will County Merit Commission office, located at 25 N. Ottawa Street, Suite 304, Joliet.

Applications must have official sealed college transcripts and or DD214/DD215 AND the processing fee attached. Mail or hand deliver the application and requirements to the Will County Merit Commission office at the address listed on the application before the deadline.

All applicants will be notified by e-mail with the test details after their application has been reviewed and accepted.
