Young Man Dies In New Lenox Township Crash

The Will County Coroner's Office announced news of the fatality.

NEW LENOX, IL - A 27-year-old man from Joliet was killed on Christmas night following a two-car collision in New Lenox Township. The Will County Coroner's Office announced that Matthew J. Greaney was pronounced dead at the Silver Cross Hospital emergency room at 10:30 p.m.

Coroner's officials say Greaney's vehicle hit another vehicle at Route 6 and Blodgett Road. Greaney died from multiple injuries, and the Illinois State Police continues to investigate the crash, the coroner's office said.
