86-Year-Old Man Fatally Struck In Morton Grove Hit-And-Run
Police are looking for witnesses after a Morton Grove senior citizen was hit around 5 p.m. Friday while walking across Shermer Road.

MORTON GROVE, IL — Police are investigating a fatal hit-and-run crash involving a pedestrian Friday evening in Morton Grove.
An 86-year-old Morton Grove man was struck and killed shortly after 5 p.m. as he crossed Shermer Road at Greenwood Avenue, police said.
Investigators believe the vehicle that hit him had been heading southbound and fled the scene.

The North Regional Task Force Major Crash Assistance Team is investigating the incident, notification of the man's family is pending and police continue to seek the vehicle that struck the man, according to Cmdr. Paul Yaras.
Police are seeking witnesses who may have been in the area of the deadly incident between 5 and 5:20 p.m. Anyone with information about the crash was asked to contact the Morton Grove Police Department at 847-470-5200.
