Don't Miss: This week, the pastry artisans are crafting Valentine cupcakes, cookies and heart-shaped petit fours.

Cool Factor: With an emphasis on old-fashioned and homegrown tastiness, this bakery is a nod to Morton Grove's roots and a keepsake in the history book. You cannot buy freshly baked bread just anywhere these days, and the Maier's bakers put their hearts into it.
