Village of Niles Swears in Przybylo, Three Trustees
Alpogianis, Jekot and O’Donovan Matyas New Trustees
(Niles, IL…May 15, 2013) An overflow crowd made its way into the Niles Village Hall Tuesday night to watch Andrew Przybylo sworn as Niles’ new Village President along with three new trustees, George Alpogianis, John Jekot and Danette O’Donovan Matyas. All four ran on the Niles New Party slate and were elected by a more than 60% margin in the April 9th election.
Outgoing Village President Robert Callero presented his gavel to Przybylo and in turn was presented a Gavel Plaque in recognition of his service to Niles.
Przybylo was sworn in by the Honorable Illinois Appellate Court Judge Aurelia Pucinski, daughter of the late Roman Pucinski, longtime Democratic U.S. Representative.
Trustees Alpogianis, Jekot and O’Donovan Matyas were sworn in by the Honorable Anthony C. Kyriakopoulos, Circuit Court Judge of Cook County.
