Child Luring Attempts Made Near School In Morton Grove

Morton Grove police have begun an investigation into two reports of a man attempting to lure kids near Hynes School.

MORTON GROVE, IL - Morton Grove police are investigating two recent child luring incidents, but are unsure if the two are related. Both incidents were reported this week in the area near Hynes School, which is located at 9000 Belleforte in Morton Grove.

In the first incident, an unknown man was seen in the area of the school and heard asking multiple boys in the area to "come here." The second incident involved a man gesturing with his hands to a young girl, "indicating that he wanted her to come towards him," police said.

Both times, the man — who was on foot — left the area as soon as the students fled to notify an adult. He was described following one of the incidents as either Caucasian or Asian, middle-aged, with light gray hair and a gray jacket.
