Driver Pulls Gun On Woman Who Flipped Him Off, Police Told
An armed man reportedly got out of a pickup truck and began walking toward the woman on her way home from work, according to Niles police.

NILES, IL — The driver of a pickup truck brandished a gun at a woman during a road rage incident last week in Niles, according to police.
A 25-year-old Skokie woman called police around 5:15 p.m. on Feb. 7 to report that a driver had pulled a gun on her as she drove home from work, according to Cmdr. Robert Tornabene.
The driver said she first noticed a silver 2010 Ford pickup truck as she turned onto Oakton Street from Dee Road in Park Ridge. She told police she had been driving in the right lane when the pickup truck cut her off near the intersection of Oakton and Prospect streets.

As the Skokie woman maneuvered around the pickup and passed it on its left, she said she "flicked off" the driver as she continued east on Oakton, according to Tornabene.
The silver Ford pickup accelerated to catch up, and as it did its driver pulled out a handgun and pointed it at her. He then pointed the handgun in his mouth while looking at the woman, police were told.

The woman pulled over at the next major intersection and stopped in a parking lot at the intersection of Oakton and Milwaukee Avenue, according to Tornabene. The man in the pickup followed, parked in the lot and got out of the truck.
He began walking toward her with a handgun at his side. She described the gun as a black, boxy semiautomatic. But when the man heard the sounds of sirens in the area, he stopped his approach and got back into the pickup.
The armed man was described as about 40 years old, 5 foot, 10 or 11 inches tall and 180 to 190 pounds. He was wearing a dark colored t-shirt. No further description of the suspect was available, police said.
