Fair Allocation in Runways (FAiR) Coalition: Meet the Chicago Mayoral Candidates Live and In Person on Wednesday, December 3

FAiR Coalition O'Hare Midway Airport Chicago Mayoral Race Suburbs City

Greetings neighbors! For city and suburban residents alike the following civic meeting is important whether you live in Chicago or you live outside of Chicago.

The next FAiR general meeting is on Wednesday, 12/3 from 7-9pm at the VFW Hall at 10 W. Higgins in Park Ridge. Please RSVP/let us know if you are coming to info@fairchicago.org or via the FAiR Website www.fairchicago.org using the “Contact Us” link on the top menu.

As part of the meeting, you will have a chance to meet in person, hear from and ask questions of several of the Chicago Mayoral candidates. Confirmed to be there so far are Commissioner Jesus “Chuy” Garcia and Alderman Bob Fioretti. These are the two candidates considered to be the strongest challengers to take on Mayor Emanuel. All Mayoral candidates including Mayor Emanuel have been invited. This will be the 11th request sent to Mayor Emanuel to meet with FAiR. He has ignored, dismissed and not responded to the previous 10 requests.

For all FAiR members whether you live in Chicago or you live outside of Chicago, it is no overstatement to say that this next FAiR meeting is the single most important gathering we have had and one that you must attend. Why?

Simply, the solutions FAiR seeks fly right through the Mayor’s office. The Chicago Mayor owns and controls the airports serving the entire region, O’Hare and Midway, and the Mayor is the last and only missing piece at the table FAiR has created. With the right Mayor or the current Mayor doing the right thing, the success we seek is well within our reach. You can see why it is critical you attend. There has been no other more important meeting for finding solutions.

One final item, FAiR does not endorse candidates for elected office. We present candidates to the membership to decide who is most closely aligned with solutions to the massive increase in planes, noise and pollution we are all experiencing.

As always, if you have any questions? Please ask. I will see you on Wednesday, December 3 at 7pm.

Peace to you...
