Fear City Hosts Morton Grove & Skokie Chamber Event
The New Season of Fear City Chicago Haunted House Was Celebrated at a Business After Hours Event

Both the Morton Grove and Skokie Chambers of Commerce joined up for a “Business After Hours” meet and greet to exchange contacts and learn about new business opportunities. The event was held at Fear City Chicago Haunted House, 8240 North Austin Avenue in Morton Grove. About 40 business and community leaders attended the event. A ceremonial ribbon cutting to launch the new season of the haunted houses (Fear City and all new for 2014 - Cursed) opened the event. In haunted house style, the ribbon was sliced with an old meat cleaver. Morton Grove Mayor Dan DiMaria, Morton Grove Chamber President Jeannine Como, D219 Education Foundation’s Alyse Burman and Skokie Chamber Executive Director Howard Meyer joined Fear City’s Mayor (and owner) Chuck Grendys in the ribbon cutting. Snacks and refreshments were supplied by Father & Son Italian Kitchen (a sponsor of Fear City for 2014). The attendees were able to share their experiences to improve business in today’s economy, which is much scarier than the mini-tours of a light’s on haunted house which some of the guests were brave enough to take. The next event for the Morton Grove Chamber will be on October 30 at Lutheran General Hospital and Fear City opens their doors on Friday, October 3, 2014 at 7pm!
