Gun Drawn at Morton Grove LA Fitness
A member was asked to leave the club and pulled his gun on employees.
On Friday, March 1, 2019, a member of LA Fitness got into a heated exchange with LA Fitness staff and a former club GM, and was asked to leave. He then displayed a gun as he left, at approximately 8:30pm.
Morton Grove police were at the LA Fitness gym, located at 6821 W. Dempster St., Morton Grove, IL to investigate. The gun displaying member was subsequently taken into custody at his home by Morton Grove police and was charged with two felonies in connection with the incident.
Gym employees attempted to close early, but with no valid reason given, members pushed back and the club closed at it's normal time of 10pm.
