Happy July 4th!  We hope you are enjoying the Independence Day festivities!Remember, the Market is closed Saturday, July 6th and will re-open Saturday, July 13th.

Thank you to all of the talented bakers who entered our Pie Contest last Saturday.  Congratulations to the 2013 Morton Grove Farmers' Market Pie Contest winners!

Thank you to our esteemed Pie Contest Judges Ron Kaplan, Mayor Dan DiMaria, and Steve Zaransky and to all of you who sampled the pie slices and generously donated funds for the local food pantries.

Special thanks to our  Manager on Duty Brad Moldofsky and Pie Contest Coordinators Mari Plotnik and Maria Toth for all their planning and hard work.  Our awesome volunteer Mahnoor and our junior volunteers made the contest run smoothly.  We hope to have you all back again for next year's pie contest!

Diana’s Whoopie Pies sold out of fruit pies and whoopie pies last week on her Featured Vendor day!  Gene Lim and the Wild Onion String Band did a wonderful job at the music tent.  Thank you to the Morton Grove Garden Club, the Morton Grove Days Commission and Accelerated Rehabilitation Centers for joining us.  To see the photos from the Market on Pie Contest Day, click here.

Watch for us in the Morton Grove Independence Day Parade starting at 2:30 pm TODAY along Dempster St.  We were chosen to be the 2013 Grand Marshalls - what an honor!  Market Managers, Committee Members and Volunteers will be near the front of the parade passing out postcards with a "$1 off a $10 purchase at a single vendor" coupon on the back.

We will also be displaying a brand new Radio Flyer wagon and canopy that we will be raffling off at the July 13th Market.  Simply enter our FREE drawing at the Welcome Booth on Saturday, July 13th between 8 am - 12 pm.  Winner will be notified by e-mail to pick up their prize on July 20th.
