Missing South Side Woman May Be in North Suburbs
Iris Pickens has a mental health condition and was last seen in a car June 6 driven by her elderly mother who suffers from dementia.

OAK LAWN, IL -- Police are looking for an Oak Lawn woman last seen in a vehicle driven by her 80-year-old mother who suffers from dementia. Iris Pickens, 47, went missing around 11 a.m. June 6 in south suburban Oak Lawn. Iris also lives with a mental health condition and is non-verbal.
Her mother, Marjorie, had contact with the Niles Police Department at approximately 9:45 p.m. June 6. Police there said that Iris was not with her mother, Marjorie was unable to tell police Iris’s whereabouts.
Iris is a African American, around 5-feet-10-inches tall, 250 pounds with brown eyes. She was last seen wearing blue jeans and older white gym shoes. She may or may not be wearing glasses. Iris lives with a mental health condition and will not speak unless spoken to. Oak Lawn police say she may be disoriented being away from home. Iris is not carrying ID or a phone.
