Niles Woman Killed By Metra Train
The 25-year-old reportedly drove around the gates at a Northwest Side rail crossing before being fatally struck Wednesday.

CHICAGO, IL — A 25-year-old Niles woman has been identified as the driver who was killed when a Metra train struck her car after she drove around the gates in the Norwood Park neighborhood on Chicago's Northwest Side.
Sana F. Khan, of the 8500 block of North National Avenue, was killed when her car was hit by an inbound train on the Union Pacific-Northwest line, according to the Chicago Fire Department and office of the Cook County Medical Examiner. Her death was ruled an accident.
Train no. 650 had been scheduled to arrive at Ogilvie Station at 4:59 p.m. but hit Khan's vehicle near the intersection of Nagle and Northwest Highway around 4:50 p.m.

Service was interrupted in both directions for more than an hour as the scene was investigated.
Khan drove around the gates at the 5700 North Nagle Avenue crossing, WGN reported.
