Notre Dame College Prep Announces New Board Members

Notre Dame College Prep is pleased to announce the addition of three new members to the Board of Directors: Emilio Abdala, Paul Krappman and Constantine L. Trela, Jr. ‘73.

“Emilio, Paul and Connie have achieved great success in their respective industries and their broad scope of knowledge will serve our community well,” said Kevin Burke, Chairman of the Board. “We are grateful for their commitment to Notre Dame College Prep and welcome them aboard.”

Meet the New Board Members

Emilio Abdala is a successful marketing strategist backed by 22+ years of experience in client relations, market penetration, customer acquisition, and revenue growth. His extensive career encompasses all aspects of strategic market planning, account management, and the implementation of effective business strategies for companies that include The Nielsen Company, Verizon Wireless, and the Chicago Fire of Major League Soccer. Emilio is currently the Director of Marketing for Valmar Holdings, which has several business units in the Fintech consumer finance space. Emilio holds a BA in Political Science from Southern Illinois University, an MBA in Marketing from Roosevelt University, and is pursuing a PHD in Marketing from Capella University.

Paul Krappman is founder of Krappman & Associates, Inc. Paul specializes in providing practical advice, strategy execution and program development expertise to start-ups and established businesses alike. With more than 25 years in the trenches, he seeks to help companies realize the potential of their teams through the development of engaging, effective enablement programs for internal and channel audiences. His diverse background offers a strong set of technical, management and marketing skills that produce results for his clients. Paul earned his BA in Communications from Marquette University and has served as Chairman and Vice-Chairman of the Queen of Angels School Board.

Constantine L. Trela, Jr. co-chairs the Supreme Court and Appellate practice group in the Chicago office of Sidley Austin and is one of the national leaders of the firm’s national Supreme Court and Appellate practice team. Connie served as a law clerk to Judge Robert Sprecher on the United States Court of Appeals for the seventh circuit and Justice John Paul Stevens on the United States Supreme Court. Connie joined Sidley in 1981 and became a partner in 1986. He is a 1973 graduate of Notre Dame College Prep who holds a BA from Northwestern University (1976 - Phi Beta Kappa) and a JD from the Northwestern School of Law (1979 - Magna Cum Laude).
