• Inaugural Skokie Youth Commission begins work with 23 members — an increase from original idea (therecordnorthshore.org) — Teens from Niles North and Niles West High Schools are helping shape Skokie's new 23-member Youth Commission, giving local students a direct voice in village priorities. Members will study Skokie's strategic plan, then deliver recommendations on issues like green gathering spaces and equitable access to resources to the Village Board in 2027.
