Gemini Junior High School's 8th grade class marked the end of one phase is their education and the beginning of another.

Family and friends gathered Monday evening at Maine East High School, where many of the students will be freshman next year, to celebrate the students' achievements.  Speeches were given by Gemini Principal Scott Herrmann, Superintendent of Schools Dr. Scott Clay, and President of the Board of Education Jane Wojtkiewicz.

Eighth grade teacher Alexis Wooster summed up her feeling on seeing her students move on, "It's bittersweet.  We're proud but sad to see them go.  The schools they move on to are very lucky to have them."
