School Shooting Threat: Boy, 13, Accused Of Disorderly Conduct

NILES, IL — A 13-year-old boy is accused of threatening a school shooting at Clarence E. Culver School, 6901 W. Oakton St., in Niles. Police were notified of the threat Friday, with the shooting threat made for Tuesday, Dec. 14.

The threat was disclosed to Culver School staff by a third party. An investigation ensued with cooperation from Culver School staff, according to police.

The boy, a student at the school, is being charged with disorderly conduct as a juvenile. He was released to his parent. Police said the student has no access to any firearms.
