SJB Students Enact Christmas Story

Students of St. John Brebeuf did a wonderful version of the Christmas story of the birth of Jesus.

Christmas Story is brought to life by SJB students

St. John Brebeuf (SJB) School in Niles ended the calendar year on Dec. 19 with a celebration of Christmas. During the morning Mass, the first grade class reenacted the birth of Jesus.

The first graders did a beautiful job reading the story, acting out the nativity, and singing Silent Night. The third grade students, children’s choir, and children’s bell choir also participated by leading the school gathering in song and sharing the readings and petitions. The first grade will reprise their Christmas program at the 3 pm Mass on Christmas Eve.

“Through their participation, our students were able to show everyone how important it is to have faith this time of year,” said Elise Matson, SJB Principal. “On behalf of St. John Brebeuf School, we want to wish everyone a very Merry Christmas!”
