St. John Brebeuf Presents Mozart Requiem on March 20

Mozart’s Requiem continues St. John Brebeuf concert series Mar. 20

The Musica Lumina 2015-16 concert series will continue Sunday, Mar. 20, at 3 p.m. at St. John Brebeuf Church in Niles. Performed by Niles Metropolitan Chorus and the Musica Lumina Orchestra, the Mozart: Requiem, K. 626, is the last of three Rudcki commemorative concerts given this season. A free-will offering will be taken, but there is no admission charge.

The Rudcki commemorative concerts have been established in honor of the legacy of the Rev. Stanley Rudcki, the former chair of the Niles College of Department of Fine Arts, who founded the Niles Concert Choir and Niles Symphony Orchestra in the 1960s.
Sponsored by Relevant Radio and Bugle Newspapers, the concert is the sixth in the nine concert 2015-16 series organized by SJB Music Director Marek Rachelski.

Three more concerts are scheduled for the 2015-16 season. They are Kantorei - The Singing Boys of Rockford on Sunday, April 24 at 3 p.m.; Music from the Slavic World - Chamber Music by Musica Lumina on Sunday, May 15, at 3 p.m. and the Land of Lakes Choirboys on Tuesday, June 14, at 7 p.m.
